Your Holiness Dalai Lama

I, as a Taiwanese, am so grateful for your mercy and blessing towards victims of the catastrophe that Typhoon Morakot brought to Taiwan.

Emotionally and spiritually speaking, your presence in Taiwan has comforted us tremendously.  Your love and peace have also enlightened us with the intelligence such that we can clearly identify what an evil governmental power is.

With respect to constraints imposed by authorities on your trip in the forms of : restricting you from touching the masses who are thirsty to hear your voice, confining your itinerary, limiting your footsteps to certain areas, orchestrating mafia-like rascals to protest, banned press conferences and so forth, I should be very shameful that we allow such a government to exist in Taiwan. 

May your love calm those who are hostile to your peace.

Your love and peace will always remain in my mind and heart, for love and peace are the only two ingredients of wisdom.

尊貴的　達賴法王：

感謝　法王您能在繁忙的行程中撥冗來到台灣，撫慰中南部因莫拉克颱風受災居民的心靈。法王的慈悲雨露讓我們感動莫名難以回報。

我們感到非常抱歉的是，去年起就任的執政者，在當選後臉已經改變，已經不是選舉前可親的臉了。他讓　法王的行程安排受到了不便與限制。

我們想讓　法王知道，這只是這一執政者狹隘的利益考量而已，我們最大多數的台灣民眾，無分宗教，都毫無保留的歡迎　　法王的到來。如果可以的話，請接受我們的對　法王，甚至對圖博人民的歉意。

我們會謹記　法王的教誨，運用慈悲與智慧在我們的生活中。我們也歡迎　法王再度蒞臨台灣。
